12 oz. ground beef (browned and drained)
1 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup green pepper (chopped)
2 cloves garlic (minced)
1 14 oz. can diced tomatoes (undrained)
1 15 oz. can kidney beans (drained and washed)
1 8 oz. can tomato sauce
2-3 tsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. dried basil
1/4 tsp. pepper
bring to a boil and cover. simmer 20 minutes
serve with grated cheese, sour cream and corn bread
