Prep & Cook Time: 40 minutes.
This is an easy satisfying soup that Brock and I created.
You will want to start on your vegetables first since they will take the longest to cook.
Vegetables
6 potatoes
5 carrots
Peel Vegetables cut in bite size pieces. Boil together until soft.Optional: Add in 1/4 of small onion for added flavor, boil with vegetables.
Sauce
3/4 of butter or margarine
3/4 c. of flour
1 1/2 tsp. Sugar
1 quart of half-and-half
1 1/2 tsp. Salt
Turn burner on low heat. Melt butter. Add in salt and sugar. Slowly mix in flour. Slowly stir in half and half. Add onion powder to taste.
Chicken
Cut up 2 to 3 chicken breasts into bite sized pieces. Put tablespoon oil in frying pan add in chicken, season with a little bit of garlic salt.
Strain Water out of boiled vegetables add sauce and chicken to it. You may need to add milk to it to get it to a consistency that you are comfortable with. Let it simmer on the stove on low for a few minutes to allow the tastes to combine or put in crock pot on warm to eat later.
