1 bag of spinach (8 oz size)
1 container strawberries (I can't remember if it's 1 pound or more but the regular sized one)
1/2 C vegetable or olive oil
1/4 C white wine or rice vinegar
1/2 C white sugar
2 t sesame or poppy seeds
almonds, walnuts, or cashews (you choose, optional)
Slice strawberries and sprinkle 1 T of sugar over them, put in fridge to let sugar dissolve into a sauce.
In a salad dressing shaker or in a small bowl and using a whisk, mix the oil, vinegar, sugar and seeds. Mix well.
Top spinach with sliced strawberries and drizzle the juices over the salad as well. Toss the oil mixture into the salad and top with nuts of your choice.
Variation:
Try tossing in some grilled sliced chicken breast!
