This is by far my favorite oatmeal cookie recipe. We like our cookies with white chocolate and butterscotch chips mixed. So Yummy!
1C shortening
1C white sugar
1C brown sugar
2 eggs (5 if doubled)
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
2 C quick oats
2 C flour
Cream shortening and sugars. Add eggs and mix. In separate bowl mix vanilla, soda, salt, and baking powder. Add to creamed mixture. Mix flour and oats together. Mix with creamed mixture. Stir in chips of your choice. Spoon onto cookie sheet. Bake at 350 F for 8-10 min.
